The Palin-Letterman dust-up is amusing as Palin, again, demonstrates her total lack of tact, class, and discipline.
Letterman's [somewhat] poor taste aside, her behavior isn't befitting a statesperson. It's tacky.
Presidential-caliber statespeople don't tangle, don't get in week-long tangles, with late night comedians.
That's why you have handlers and spokespeople. You say, "well, I guess that's what Dave Letterman considers funny. I don't, but we're all entitled to our opinions. I have no further comment on that subject."
Letterman last night delivered a(nother) lengthy apology, and Palin, who just has dignity coming out her fucking ass, replies, on her Facebook page (yes, her Facebook page) with this:
“Letterman certainly has the right to ‘joke’ about whatever he wants to, and thankfully we have the right to express our reaction,” Palin said. “This is all thanks to our U.S. Military women and men putting their lives on the line for us to secure America’s Right to Free Speech - in this case, may that right be used to promote equality and respect.”
What a fool.
