The NY State Press Association is distributing six ads in its campaign to resurrect the fortunes of its member newspapers.
The ads all seem to be veiled threats, and each one signs off with the snotty tag line "Told ya."
Not sure who thinks this will work.
They range from dumb:
To really dumb:
To vaguely threatening (Don't read the local paper? Why do you hate black children?)
To surreal (?)
Prevent what? People driving into rivers? I think local media presume a grandiose opinion of their responsibility, reach.
