It seems weird to say that a politician "almost walked into a PR catastrophe," but this would have been so rich it's worth noting.
As Paul Waugh writes, British PM Gordon Brown was at a mall (or whatever the hell the English call a "mall," probably "morley" or "jerry nook" or some damn thing) in west London for a photo-op.
Innocent enough:
But had he walked in just a bit to the right, he would have stood under this sign:
And that would have been pretty ridiculous.
